  /  01.08.2016

It’s been an eventful day for Kanye West. After dropping new music and announcing his headlining slot at the Governors Ball, Yeezus has unveiled a release date for his seventh studio album Swish.

The long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Yeezus will drop on Feb. 11, 2016. He shared the exciting news with his fans, tweeting, “Swish February 11 16.”

Earlier today, Kanye revived his weekly G.O.O.D. Friday music series, starting with the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Real Friends” and a snippet of “No More Parties in LA” featuring Kendrick Lamar. On New Year’s Eve, he also released a remix to Drake and Future’s “Jumpman” called “Facts.” Expect new music each Friday leading up to Swish‘s release.

So far, Swish has spawned tracks including “Only One,” “All Day,” “Wolves” featuring Sia and Vic Mensa, and “Fade” with Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign, which he debuted during the Yeezy Season 2 runway show.

“It’s soundin’ good, like a sonic painting. And it gets better and better every week,” ‘Ye told Big Boy on Real 92.3 in November.

While he puts the finishing touches on the album, Kanye warned his friends not to disturb him. “no offense to anyone… I’m asking everyone DON’T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I’M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM,” he tweeted.

You can catch Yeezus performing Swish live at the Governors Ball, which will take place June 3-5 in New York City.
