The funk shall be within you. The legendary Funkadelic, a source for classic hip-hop samples and inspiration, bridges the gap between rap and funk yet again in the video for “Ain’t That Funkin’ Kinda Hard on You?,” which features Kendrick Lamar and Ice Cube.
The Video God-directed visual takes place in a galaxy far, far away. It’s a Star Wars-inspired clip starring actor Michael Colyar on an out-of-this-world journey through the Chocolate Milky Way with K-Dot as his space craft’s pilot.
K. Dizzle and the N.W.A legend join Funkadelic for a remix of the track off the group’s 2014 LP, First Ya Gotta Shake the Gate. The TDE wordsmith also appeared on a different remix of the jam released in November.
Cornrow Kenny’s verse here might also sound familiar to some, as it’s also the first off ”untitled 08″ from the rapper’s untitled unmastered. project.
