Gallant Performs 'Weight in Gold' on 'Tonight Show'

Gallant goes for the gold. The R&B singer, who teamed up with Jhené Aiko on “Skipping Stones,” made his television debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday (May 11).

Sitting on a couch, watching static on a TV, Gallant launched into his performance of “Weight in Gold” off his debut album Ology. Donning all black, the Mind of a Genius crooner delivered stunning vocals that earned a standing ovation from the late-night crowd.

Ology has been a strong debut for Gallant. It’s been called “a slow burn that grows more infectious as it plays” by Pitchfork. NPR also says it “doesn’t serve radio formats” because “Gallant’s music serves us.”
