Video: Wale - 'My PYT'
Wale celebrates summer by throwing a pool party in the video for his Michael Jackson-sampled single “My PYT.” The MMG MC plays a lifeguard while gorgeous women enjoy pool time at a lavish mansion.
It isn’t your ordinary pool party, though. The colorful Colin Tilley-directed clip is also filled with choreographed dancing, boxing, chess, tennis, weightlifting, and a photo shoot.
The video premiered on the Google Play Music block, an interactive display, at the Panorama Festival on Saturday (Jul. 23) right before headliner Kendrick Lamar closed the show and then it played again as festivalgoers exited the event.
“My PYT” is the lead single off Wale’s upcoming fifth studio album SHINE. To get fans ready for the new LP, Folarin recently released Summer on Sunset, a 17-track effort with appearances by Tha Dogg Pound, Victoria Monét, Eric Bellinger, and more.
Wale is celebrating more than just music these days. On Friday, he and his girlfriend Chloe Alexis welcomed a baby girl—his first child—into the world.
