Watch Teyana Taylor's 'Champions (Freestyle)' Video
Teyana Taylor isn’t letting her shine “Fade” away. Instead, she’s glowing even more in the shimmering video for her “Champions (Freestyle).”
Over Kanye West’s Cruel Winter single, G.O.O.D. Music’s First Lady delivers a potent new cut. “Pray for ’em,” she raps. “Get these bitches out the way for ’em.” And later, she continues to boast: “I’ve been getting money, where the hell you been? No album out and somehow, I was getting paid.”
The stop-motion video, featuring only photographs, finds a nude Teyana dipped in gold and holding machine guns. It was shot by Sasha Samsonova, who’s photographed Taylor in a similar way before.
“hope you guys love it,” she wrote. “Again THIS IS MADE WITH ALL PHOTOS!! Fireeeeee.”
Taylor is enjoying a resurgence thanks to her starring role in Kanye’s stunning “Fade” visual. She is also set to appear on VH1’s hip-hop drama series “The Breaks” and is working on the follow-up to her 2014 debut album VII.
