T.I. and Meek Mill Join Anti-Trump Protests

  /  11.10.2016

The backlash against President-elect Donald Trump continues.

Less than 24 hours after Trump’s win, protestors including T.I. and Meek Mill hit the streets for “Not My President” marches in an effort to voice their disapproval.

“This ain’t supposed to be how people react to the election of a president,” Tip said in an Instagram video. “This ain’t what we built up on, man. This ain’t what we about. This is some bullshit.”

Protestors around the Grand Hustle boss chanted statements like “She got more votes,” “We reject the President-elect,” and more.

Meanwhile, Meek Mill was also on the streets, encouraging “Fuck Trump” chants while protestors around him sang in unison. “Sing that shit,” Meek said. “Fuck who?”

Tip and Meek have been vocal about social injustice this year. T.I. dropped his politically-charged EP Us or Else, which featured Meek on the song “Black Man.”

Yesterday, several artists responded to Trump’s triumph with a series of emotions, including disappointment, sadness, and disbelief.
