Drake Offers to Help Stop Man From Jumping Off Bridge

The 6 God to the rescue. While overseas on his “Boy Meets World Tour,” Drake reportedly offered to help save a man’s life.

On Saturday (Feb. 11), Manchester police were called to Mancunian Way Bridge, where a man was apparently planning to jump. Officials stopped traffic and began interacting with the potential jumper.

Drizzy, whose tour bus was caught in traffic, reached out and offered his assistance to an official on the scene.

“One officer was approached by a male from a tour van caught up in the traffic congestion, claiming to be part of Drake’s entourage,” said Insp Phil Spurgeon of the City Centre Intergrated Neighbourhood Policing Team (via Manchester Evening News). “He offered for Drake to speak to the male on the bridge, if that would help. The offer was declined with thanks.”

After two hours of negotiations, the man was brought down safely and taken to a hospital.

Drizzy was in Manchester for back-to-back shows on Feb. 11 and Feb. 12. He’s currently in London for two concerts before continuing his overseas jaunt, which ends March 28 in Amsterdam.

Last week, Drake also assured fans that he’s less than two weeks away from completing his More Life playlist project, which is slated to drop at some point soon.
