New Music: Taylor Bennett feat. Chance the Rapper & Jeremih - 'Grown Up Fairy Tales'
Chance the Rapper joins Taylor Bennett for some brotherly love on the Jeremih-assisted “Grown Up Fairy Tales” off Bennett’s new project, Restoration of an American Idol.
Chano takes over the track with two back-to-back verses. “I tell fairytales in your ear,” he raps. “Farewell to welfare and helping with healthcare / I’ll take you to fairs, and win you a bear / And marry and grow up and split up and split up my share.”
With Mike WiLL Made-It on the boards, Jeremih handles the melodies on the chorus, and Taylor caps things off with a closing verse. “The children inherit from parents,” he raps. “You cannot buy beauty on clearance / This Rollie just shows that I hear it / I’m cold as a spirit / Looking for warmth as a soul with endearment.”
“Grown Up Fairy Tales” was released as part Taylor’s nine-track Restoration of an American Idol project, which features Raury, Lil Yachty, and Princeton of Mindless Behavior.
