Playboi Carti Arrested on Domestic Battery Charge

Playboi Carti has been arrested on a domestic battery charge.
The “Magnolia” rapper was reportedly involved in an argument with a woman at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday (July 6). Sources say that they pushed one another, and that Carti shoved her outside, “grabbed her backpack and forced her into an Uber,” according to TMZ.
Carti was reportedly arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery shortly after the incident. He was released on $20,000 bail earlier today (July 7), but has not issued a public statement on the arrest.
The XXL Freshman has been riding a wave of success with “wokeuplikethis” and “Magnolia,” his highest-charting single to date, which peaked at No. 29 on the Hot 100.
