Justin Bieber & BloodPop Announce 'Friends' Collaboration

  /  08.14.2017

Justin Bieber might be on a self-imposed break, but that doesn’t mean the pop superstar won’t be releasing new music. In fact, he’s about to drop “Friends,” a new collaboration with producer BloodPop.

Ahead of the song’s release on Thursday (Aug. 17) at noon, Biebs unveiled the cover art, which features two birds eating a worm. Prior to dropping the artwork, he tweeted: “Can we still be friends,” which appears to be a reference to the track.

Bieber and BloodPop have proven to be a powerful musical combo. The two collaborated on 2015’s Purpose including “Mark My Words,” “I’ll Show You,” “Children,” and “Sorry.”

Most recently, BloodPop teamed up with Lady Gaga on Joanne tracks like “Come to Mama,” “Angel Down,” “Sinner’s Prayer,” “Million Reasons,” and “Perfect Illusion.”

Meanwhile, Bieber has reportedly been taking it easy after canceling his “Purpose Stadium Tour” last month. At the time, he said it was due to exhaustion, and reports claimed that it might have been related to his rededication to religion.
