Diddy & DJ Khaled in Talks to Join Hip-Hop Talent Show 'The Four'

Diddy and DJ Khaled are about to join forces. But instead of a musical collaboration, the moguls may be teaming up on “The Four,” a Fox television series and talent competition.

Insiders claim that the hip-hop heavyweights are currently in negotiations to participate in the upcoming program, which will include four different judges, with Diddy as “the mogul” and Khaled as “the producer,” according to TMZ.

A “songwriter” and a “performer” are also scheduled to join the series, with at least one of them being a woman, according to sources familiar with the show. There’s no word yet on any favorites for those roles.

According to the report, “The Four” is a competition series that will focus on contemporary pop with an emphasis on hip-hop, where contestants battle it out for the prime spot. The winner is set to have the four judges behind them as they launch their career.

Khaled and Puff have a longstanding bond. Together, they participated in the star-studded “Don’t Shoot” single. Plus, Diddy helped the DJ promote his latest Grateful album, while Khaled has been a Ciroc brand ambassador.

Last year, when Khaled was named the face of Ciroc Mango, he opened up about what he learned from Diddy and JAY-Z. “Be great,” he told Billboard. “Those guys are moguls I’ve looked up to my whole career and been inspired by. Just for them to work with me and be partners with me, we were just friends before all this business stuff we’re doing. That’s what’s so beautiful about it — we respect each other. The keys I got from them is just to continue to be great. Don’t stop, know what I’m saying? Keep going.”
