Nas Declares Nicki Minaj 'Queen' in Birthday Post

  /  12.09.2017

All hail Nicki Minaj.

On Friday (Dec. 8), the Young Money star celebrated her 35th birthday and received a royal blessing from her rumored beau Nas. “Queens Get The MFkN Money,” he wrote, acknowledging their shared home borough. “Happy Birthday To The QUEEN OF NY / HIP HOP @nickiminaj.”

Of course, Nicki is no stranger to the throne. She’s called herself the Queen of Rap plenty of times. On “Feeling Myself,” she rapped: “I am a rap legend, just go ask the kings of rap, who is the queen and things of that nature.” On “Make Love,” she added: “You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap / You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques.”

After bestowing Nicki with the regal title, Nas also shared an excerpt from her appearance in Lil Uzi Vert’s “The Way Life Goes.” He captioned the visual with “BDAY VIBES.”

In September, Nicki helped Nas celebrate his 44th birthday with Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys, and Jungle.

The rumored romance continues. In May, the two were spotted at one of his Sweet Chick eateries in New York. That same month, Nicki told “Ellen” that she had “sleepovers” with Nas.

“He is the king of Queens, and I like to think I’m the queen of Queens,” she explained. “He’s a rap legend. Let’s just say that I have a lot of respect for him, and, you know, he’s kind of cute, too.”
