New Music: Trae Tha Truth feat. Young Thug - 'Don't Know Me'

Trae Tha Truth and Young Thug join forces on their trap banger “Don’t Know Me.”

Thugger’s Auto-Tuned chorus kicks off the piano-laden track, as he lets folks who think they know, realize they have no idea. “Started from the bottom,” he sings. “Now I’m at the top of the globe / You don’t know me.”

Taking the “King of the Streets” title, the Texas MC’s deep voice breaks into the bold first verse. “I feel like I’m going crazy,” he raps. “So much shit I remember / Love is nothing when these ni**as pretenders.”

“I felt that we could get in our zone and it’s a different type of record than what people would expect us to do together,” Trae told XXL.

The collaboration comes shortly after Thug said that he would not release a new album this year in honor of his brother, who is deaf.

“Don’t Know Me” is a single off Trae’s forthcoming album Hometown Hero, which is set to address the affects of Hurricane Harvey on Houston. Featuring T.I., Boosie Badazz, and Mozzy, the project is due Friday (March 16).
