New Music: Mike WiLL Made-It feat. Pharrell, Big Sean, Rae Sremmurd, & Quavo - 'Aries (YuGo) Part 2'

After hitting the lab with Drake, Trouble, Dr. Dre, and Eminem, Mike WiLL Made-It drops a remix to “Aries (YuGo)” off last year’s Ransom 2. While the original featured Pharrell Williams, “Part 2” adds Rae Sremmurd, Quavo, and Big Sean to the mix.

Sean Don approaches the bag-getting anthem with some reflections on his work ethic. “I work way too hard,” he raps. “To me, work is not a job / To me, working is a purpose / If it ain’t that, then it’s worthless.”

Elsewhere, Uncle Jxm and Swae Lee add some SremmLife flavor to the track. “I’m going hard for this,” raps Jxmmi. “I put my heart in this / I’m addicted and it’s hard to quit / Started out in them apartments / Now, I hang with the stars and shit.” Swae adds: “You took all day at the Gucci store / You take all day when you in the store / But baby, I’m not even mad.”

Meanwhile, Quavo throws in a Migos and adidas nod. “I am a fashion statement,” he brags. “Culture, my Human Races.”

The original version of “Aries (YuGo)” features Pharrell’s alter ego, Station Wagon P. This time around, Skateboard P handles the chorus and a bridge. “It ain’t your chain or your vehicles,” he sings. “When you that ni**a with the bag.”

Mike WiLL told Beats 1 this remix was a must. “Pharrell always wanted artists on there,” he explained. “He always wanted rappers to have verses on there… Originally, I just wanted to put on all Aries on there you know because the songs called ‘Aries’ and Pharrell’s an Aries, so I put Quavo on there, I put Big Sean on there. But Swae always loved that beat, so he was like, ‘Bro, you gotta let me get on there.’ I can’t turn down a Swae Lee verse. Then Slim Jxm heard that and was like, ‘I can hop on there?’ And I cant turn down no Slim Jim verse and they both killed it. They the only two on there that’s not Aries so we just changed the meaning for Aries.”

Mike also opened up about Rae Sremmurd’s triple album SremmLife 3, which drops next month with contributions from The Weeknd, Future, Young Thug, Pharrell, and even actress Zoë Kravitz. “It’s bangers from top to bottom,” he said. “It’s 27 songs.”
