Ariana Grande Remembers Mac Miller with Heartfelt Tribute

Ariana Grande is breaking her silence on Mac Miller’s passing.

One week after his death on Sept. 7, the Sweetener singer has penned a touching tribute to her ex-boyfriend, who was found dead at his Studio City, Calif. home after an apparent drug overdose. He was 26.

On Friday (Sept. 14), Grande posted a video on Instagram of her former boyfriend at dinner, laughing and smiling as she films him. The former couple, who collaborated on the 2013 hit “The Way,” dated for at least a year-and-a-half before breaking up earlier this year.

Grande previously reacted to Miller’s death by posting a black-and-white photo of him on Instagram without a caption.

During his podcast, Miller’s friend Shane Powers praised Grande for being “deeply helpful and effective” in Miller’s sobriety.

“There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana,” he said. “This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy.”
