JoJo Re-Releases Her First Two Albums

  /  12.20.2018

JoJo fans rejoice. In an unprecedented move, the singer has re-released both of her first two albums.

The new 2018 editions include a reissue of her self-titled 2004 debut and 2006’s The High Road, with re-recorded vocals and slightly new arrangements. Fans will be pleased to hear favorites like “Baby It’s You” and “Anything,” plus JoJo’s two biggest hits, “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late.” She also threw in updated versions of 2011’s “Disaster” and 2012’s “Demonstrate.”

Both albums were removed from digital retailers and streaming services by her former label Blackground Records, which prevented her from releasing any music while she was under contract. “My former label removed my music,” JoJo tweeted last year. “I unfortunately have absolutely no control over what they do or don’t do.”

JoJo’s loyal fans took to social media to celebrate the surprise release, including Kehlani, who wrote, “the entire stan is jumping out of my body rn.”

JoJo, who celebrated her 28th birthday this week, is now working on the follow-up to 2016’s Mad Love.
