Cardi B Sues Gossip Vloggers for Defamation

Cardi B is taking a couple gossip vloggers to court over bogus claims.

According to TMZ, the rapper filed a lawsuit against a vlogger named Latasha K, who posted 23 videos slandering her over the last 14 months. In one video, which she posted last April, Latasha said Cardi’s baby might be born with intellectual disabilities, inferring that Cardi was doing drugs during her pregnancy.

Additionally, Cardi is suing Starmarie Ebony Jones, who posted a video in September accusing Cardi of taking drugs including molly and cocaine and engaging in prostitution. “Just a Grammy nominated prostitute running around spreading her herpes,” Jones allegedly said of Cardi, while claiming that she has herpes.

In the suit, Cardi says she’s never been a prostitute or used cocaine and molly. She also denies having herpes. She says she’s given the women an opportunity to retract their statements, but they’ve refused to do so. So Cardi is suing them for defamation, and seeking an injunction to delete the videos they posted.

During an Instagram Live session last year, Kulture’s mother threatened to sue Latasha for spreading lies. “I’m gonna sue you for defamation of character because I let that bitch play and talk shit about me, but when you talk shit about my daughter..,” she said, adding, “Bitch you a whole fucking weirdo, a bitch that’s 40 years old and pregnant too, and then all you can do is talk shit about me, ho. Fuck outta here.”

Cardi has spoken out against gossip blogs in the past on social media. “I SHOULD RUN A WHOLE BLOG AT THIS RATE,” she tweeted last month. “THEY USING MY NAME FOR CLICKBAIT ! BITCHES EVEN WANNA START FAKE BEEF TO SELL THEY LITTLE WEAVE AND THEY MIXTAPE !”
