Video: Kehlani feat. 6LACK - 'RPG'

After linking with Ty Dolla $ign and Dom Kennedy, Kehlani teams up with 6LACK in the video for “RPG” off her mixtape While We Wait.

The video was inspired by her favorite show, Netflix’s mystery drama “The OA.” In the sci-fi-themed clip, the new mom is trapped in a glass box with a series of phones laid out in front of her. 6LACK appears in another box alongside Kehlani writing “2/19/17” on a glass board. They later meet up in another box filled with greenery.

Kehlani, who gave birth to her daughter Adeya Nomi last month, revealed that she was nearly nine months pregnant at the time of the shoot. “based onna true story & my favorite netflix show,” she tweeted.

Following the release of While We Wait in February, Kehlani is now working on her next album, which was inspired by her parents. “My next official album is a story. I’m telling stories I’ve never told,” she told Beats 1. “It’s my parents’ story articulated into mine, articulated into a gift for my daughter, so she knows where she comes from.”
