Future's Bodyguard Knocked Out During Airport Attack

  /  07.22.2019

Future’s bodyguard was assaulted in what’s being described as a racially-motivated attack.

According to TMZ, the incident occurred Monday (July 22) at the International Airport in Ibiza, Spain. Future had just arrived and was walking through the terminal when 10 men approached him and asked for a photo. Future reportedly said “Not today, guys” because he was tired after a long flight.

After declining the photo, the men apparently became enraged and began hurling racial slurs and other epithets. That’s when Future’s bodyguard stepped in to protect the rapper and get him to his car safely.

Things escalated and the bodyguard allegedly fought off the men before someone sucker punched him from behind with a rock, knocking him out cold. In the video footage, men are seen and heard celebrating as Future’s bodyguard lies on the pavement. Police were eventually called while Future waited on the sidelines.

Future is set to return to the U.S. for his “Legendary Nights Tour” with Meek Mill, which kicks off Aug. 28 in St. Louis.

UPDATE: Taking to Instagram Stories, Future addressed the incident, saying he was approached for a photo and declined, which angered the men. So they retaliated by attacking his bodyguard and sending the footage to TMZ. As for Future, he says he didn’t witness the attack and wants nothing to do with any of it.

“Basically these fake goons asked to suck my dick for a picture I toldem NOOOOO…apparently they get angry and do sum sucker shit,” he wrote. “I left the airport, they edit the video they filmed and sent it to blogs real real tuf guys …what they did to security I didn’t see period, I’m not a witness to anything…leave me out anything have to do with this incident.”
