Dreezy and Jacquees Reunite in 'Love Someone' Video

Breakup to makeup.

Dreezy and Jacquees reignite their relationship in the video for “Love Someone” off Dreezy’s album Big Dreez. Directed by Jake Riley and John Lathan, the storyline chronicles the breakup of several couples. Amid an apocalyptic scene, Dreezy’s character takes things into her own hands, lighting her man’s car on fire with gasoline, while the self-proclaimed “King of R&B” reflects on love lost. “I thought I was your baby though,” sings a heartbroken Jacquees.

“‘Love Someone’ kind of fell in place on its own. I was in the studio working on tracks, and I wanted a real-life personal song that I could include,” Dreezy told Coveteur. “I was drawing inspiration from past broken relationships on my verses, and Jacquees just happened to pull up to the studio and lay down the perfect hook. I didn’t even plan for him to be on it, but it spoke to my heart and the emotion I had on the song. There was a point where I almost cried listening it back.”

The video was shot prior to the couple’s reported breakup over the summer. In September, Dreezy proclaimed her single status on social media.

“Love Someone” appears on Dreezy’s latest album, Big Dreez, which was released in January. Jacquees is now gearing up for his new album, the aptly-titled King of R&B, on Nov. 8.
