Beyoncé Drops Remix to Megan Thee Stallion's 'Savage'

  /  04.29.2020

Beyoncé is in “Savage” mode.

On Wednesday, a surprise remix to Megan Thee Stallion’s smash hit “Savage” leaked featuring none other than Queen Bey. But it disappeared as quickly as it appeared before being officially released to streaming services. The bossy track finds a classy and ratchet Bey repping “gang gang gang” and rapping about everything from TikTok to her bootylicious assets.

“Hips TikTok when I dance / On that demon time, she might start a OnlyFans / Big Bey and that B stand for bandz / If you wanna see some real ass, baby, here’s your chance,” she raps.

She also puts the competition in check (“Can’t argue with these lazy bitches, I just raise my price”) and pays tribute to her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson (“And my mama was a savage, ni**a / Got this shit from Tina”).

According to TIDAL, the song features co-writing credits from JAY-Z, The-Dream, Pardison Fontaine, and Starrah.

Each artist is donating proceeds from the remix to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts in their hometown of Houston through Bread of Life, Inc., which serves hot meals to the homeless at St. John’s United Methodist Church in downtown Houston.

Megan, who is signed to Roc Nation management, had previously shared her dreams of collaborating with her fellow Houstonian. “Savage,” which spawned the viral #SavageChallenge, originally appeared on her EP Suga and is currently No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

An emotional Meg reacted to the remix, writing, “I’m fucking crying rn HOUSTON WE ON.”
