Lauren London Pays Tribute to Nipsey Hussle on His 35th Birthday

  /  08.16.2020

Long live Nip.

On what would have been Nipsey Hussle’s 35th birthday on Saturday, Lauren London penned a touching tribute to her “best friend” and father of her son.

“King Ermias Best friend Twin Flame Greatest Teacher Beautiful Strong Vessel The Spiritual Giant that walked Earth,” London wrote on Instagram, along with a black-and-white photo of the rapper, born Ermias Asghedom.

“‘I Miss You’ will never be deep enough for the void left in my soul. Yet, I know you walk with me- always still,” she added. “Happy 35th Eternally Yours, Boogie.”

London and Nipsey shared a son, Kross, who turns 4 this month. The actress has continued to honor Nipsey following his death in March 2019. Earlier this year, she spoke with Jada Pinkett-Smith during an episode of “Red Table Talk” to discuss her late boyfriend’s legacy and coping with his death.

“I love to meet people that Nip has really inspired, ’cause it feels like he’s still here, even though he is in a way,” said London. “It’s like his purpose that was completely outside of any of us… He’s touching people still. I find that when I run into people that tell me how he’s changed their life, what they’re doing with their life right now, it fills me up.”

Nipsey’s friends also paid tribute to the Crenshaw rapper. Snoop Dogg released his “Nipsey Blue” tribute on Friday, while The Game, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Fabolous, and more shared heartfelt messages on social media.

“Happy Cday Nip!! The World & the Culture misses you! The Marathon Continues tho,” wrote Fabolous, while Meek celebrated the “young don.”

His “brother from another color,” YG, visited Nipsey’s gravesite, wearing an airbrushed tee with a portrait of Nipsey and “We Miss You” written underneath. “HAPPY CDAY LOC @nipseyhussle talk to me foo. We miss you everyday,” he captioned the photo of him standing alongside bouquets of flowers, photos, and bottles of Don Julio 1942.
