UFC Fighter Colby Covington Slams Drake After He Bets Against Him

  /  03.07.2022

Colby Covington has some fighting words for Drake.

The UFC fighter is calling out the 6 God after he bet $275,000 that Covington would lose his grudge match against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272 on Saturday night (March 5). Drake placed a bet for 7 Bitcoin, which equals roughly $275,000, via the online betting platform Stakes.

But it didn’t go in his favor and Covington ended up winning the fight in a one-sided decision. In the post-fight press conference, the UFC champ made sure to trash talk the OVO rapper.

“Let’s talk about all the money that Drake lost tonight,” Covington said. “He needs to go back to, you know, selling those shitty albums to get back the money. He should have went to America’s Pick of the Week by [betting website] mybookie. I tried to give the people the pick of the week. I’m America’s champ, and I was America’s pick of the week.”

He continued to slam him, adding, “Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your shitty little albums and rapping.”

While he may have taken an L this time, Drake won over $1 million in Bitcoin after betting on the Los Angeles Rams to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI last month.

Drake has been spending a lot of time gambling online. He recently announced a partnership with crypto betting platform Stake, which will allow fans to win money and play alongside him during upcoming livestreams.
