Pregnant M.I.A. to Perform at Grammys

As if watching Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and T.I. perform “Swagga Like Us” live for the first time wasn’t enough, now there’s no reason not to tune in to the Grammys. It has been announced that a pregnant M.I.A. will take the stage at this year’s show.

It’s likely the Sri Lankan artist will perform “Swagga Like Us” with the rappers and/or her Record of the Year-nominated hit “Paper Planes,” but there has been no confirmation.

“They say that you’re often late the first time, so I’m planning to go,” M.I.A. told USA Today. “We’ll see. People are trying to get me to relax and focus on the baby. It’s like being in parallel universes.”

M.I.A.’s first child is due the same day as the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 8.
