Report: Michael Jackson Death Ruled Homicide

Michael Jackson and Conrad Murray

After weeks of speculation, the official cause of Michael Jackson’s death is becoming clear.

Two months following his tragic passing, L.A. County coroner’s officials have reported finding “lethal levels” of the powerful anesthetic propofol in Jackson’s body, according to a search warrant affidavit unsealed in Houston on Monday.

The Associated Press reports that Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, told the Los Angeles Police Department that he had been treating Jackson for insomnia, giving him 25 milligrams of propofol through an IV, according to court records. On the morning of June 25, Murray left to use the restroom for about two minutes and found Jackson not breathing when he returned. He then administered CPR.

The revelations increase the likelihood that criminal charges will be filed against Murray, who was with the pop star when he died. Other drugs confiscated in the search of Jackson’s Holmby Hills mansion included Valium, Tamsulosin, Lorazepam, Temazepam, Clonazepam, Trazodone, and Tizanidine.
