Cruel Summer

G.O.O.D. Music may be at the top of their game, but they’ll have to settle for No. 2. The hip-hop collective’s long-awaited compilation Cruel Summer debuts in the runner-up spot on this week’s Billboard 200 chart.

The album from Kanye West and crew sold 205,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The project has spawned the singles “Mercy,” “New God Flow,” and “Clique,” with contributions from Big Sean, Common, Teyana Taylor, Pusha T, R. Kelly, Ma$e, and more.

On the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, the set enters at No. 1 and becomes the second various artists collection to top the chart this year, following Maybach Music Group’s Self Made, Vol. 2.

However, G.O.O.D. Music was no match for Pink, whose latest The Truth About Love opened with 280,000 units, becoming her first No. 1.
