The Weeknd's 'Trilogy' Earns Top 5 Debut

The Weeknd is starting the celebration mid-week. The Canadian singer’s major-label debut Trilogy lands at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The three-disc set sold 86,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The project is comprised of previously released material from his mixtapes (House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence) in addition to three new bonus tracks.

The 22-year-old took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support. “Having large confidence in my fans has yet to fail me. today is a celebration,” he tweeted.

Other new entries this week include Whitney Houston’s greatest hits package I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston (No. 14) and Christina Aguilera, whose fifth album Lotus comes in at No. 7, selling 73,000 copies. Her previous album, 2010’s Bionic, debuted at No. 3 with 110,000.
