Alicia Keys and John Legend

Fifty years after the Beatles made their U.S. debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” Alicia Keys and John Legend teamed up to honor the Fab Four during last night’s CBS special “The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles.”

Seated at pianos, the R&B powerhouses put a soulful spin on the band’s 1970 classic “Let It Be,” receiving a standing ovation from the audience including Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

“Tonight I am an honorary Beatle! LOL!” tweeted Alicia, while Legend added, “i think i might have to add ‘let it be’ to the All of Me Tour set list.”

The star-studded tribute also featured performances from Pharrell and Brad Paisley, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, and more.
