Musicians, politicians, athletes, and activists gathered under one roof to celebrate TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. While cover star Beyoncé was a no show, Pharrell Williams and Frank Ocean did attend the black-tie gala held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Tuesday.

With his wife Helen Lasichanh by his side, Pharrell rocked jeans, a short blazer, adidas Stan Smiths, and a Mickey Mouse Band-Aid on his chain. He mingled with fellow honoree Carrie Underwood and had the crowd on its feet with his hits including “Happy” and “Get Lucky.”

Frank Ocean, who was honored by the magazine last year, took a break from recording his sophomore album and hit the red carpet in a suit and Vans sneakers, with his mother Katonya as his date.

“Night out with my handsome son! What an incredible group of people tonight!” tweeted Katonya.

The 2014 list of honorees also includes Miley Cyrus, President Obama, Serena Williams, Kerry Washington, and more.
