New Music: Young Buck - 'New Years Cake'

  /  01.02.2015

After closing out 2014 with the video for “Bring My Bottles,” Young Buck kicks off 2015 with a bang. Over Drake and Jay Z’s “Pound Cake” instrumental, the G-Unit spitter serves up “New Years Cake.” He tells listeners to “respect my gangsta” (“The money didn’t make me, ni**a / I make the money though”) and shares some truth about the bossman, 50 Cent.

“Ya’ll don’t know how hard it is to keep 50 calm / If it weren’t for me, ni**a, you would miss your mom / Imagine a soldier talking to the fu**ing don / Saying that’s enough cuz, the war is won,” he raps.

G-Unit’s first order of business for 2015 is a new EP, The Beast Is G-Unit, which follows August’s The Beauty of Independence.
