Jennifer Lopez Pays Tribute to Selena at Billboard Latin Music Awards

  /  05.01.2015

On the 20th anniversary of Selena’s death, Jennifer Lopez delivered an emotional tribute to the Mexican-American Tejano star at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards at Miami’s BankUnited Center on Thursday.

Accompanied by Selena’s family band Los Dinos, Lopez ran through multiple wardrobe changes as she performed a medley of Selena’s biggest hits including “Como La Flor,” “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” “Amor Prohibido,” “I Could Fall in Love,” and “No Me Queda Mas.”

Lopez, who played the iconic singer in a 1997 biopic, was emotional as she hugged Selena’s sister Suzette and brother A.B. on stage at the end of the performance.

“Gracias, Selena,” said a teary-eyed J.Lo before receiving a standing ovation.
