Pharrell Previews New Song 'Freedom' in Apple Music Ad

  /  06.09.2015

Pharrell Williams celebrates “Freedom” on his new song, which he debuted in an ad for Apple’s new streaming service, Apple Music. The minute-long clip kicks off with an introduction from Zane Lowe, host of Beats 1, Apple’s 24/7 radio station.

“Hold on, don’t let me go / Who cares what they see, who cares what they know / First name is free, last name is dom / Choose to believe in where we’re from,” sings The Neptunes hitmaker over the jazzy beat.

The uplifting song eventually builds to a rousing chorus and chants of “Freedom!”

Pharrell, along with Drake and The Weeknd, has partnered with Apple on their new music service, which launches June 30.

Additionally, Skateboard P has contributed four original songs to the soundtrack for DOPE, the film he co-executive produced with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
