Nelly Performs 'The Fix' on 'Tonight Show'
Nelly brought some sexual healing to “The Tonight Show” with his after-hours jam “The Fix.” Decked out in a camouflage motorcycle jacket, the St. Louis rapper was joined by The Roots, but no Jeremih as he performed his seductive DJ Mustard-produced single, which samples Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.”
“The Fix” is Nelly’s biggest chart hit since “Hey Porsche” in 2013. “It was dope to me because if you could picture where Nelly would be in 2015 after all of the blessings and things he’s been having over his career, just being able to be in this position. It kinda feels like a great place for me,” he told Rolling Stone.
He also cleared up reports that he’s working on a country EP. “I respect country music so much that I would never think that I can sit down and just as easy do a country album,” he said. “I’m tryna come up with an idea of doing an EP that crosses all boundaries, all genres and it may feature different country artists.”
