The Slayin will have to wait.

In a letter posted on Twitter, the Cleveland rapper explained the reason behind the delay. “Due to some minor sample clearances still being finalized, we miss[ed] our deadline for tonights release,” he wrote.

While he awaits a new release date from his label, he plans to drop two songs off the album, “Frequency” and “Surfin,” in the next 48 hours.

He concluded by thanking his fans for their support. “No one could be more excited and anxious for you to consume the magical musical candy I’ve prepared for you these past 5 months,” he said. “I appreciate all the fam rootin for me as well as your patience.”

Earlier this week, Cudi revealed the tracklisting for the album, which includes appearances from Pharrell, André 3000, Travis Scott, and Willow Smith.
