Meek Mill, Tyler, the Creator, & Lana Del Rey Battle for No. 1 Spot

  /  07.26.2017

Meek Mill, Tyler, the Creator, and Lana Del Rey are involved in a photo finish race to No. 1 on the Billboard 200. According to projections, each project is expected to sell around 90,000 equivalent album units, with minor variations.

Meek Mill’s third album Wins & Losses could sell between 90,000 and 95,000 units, Tyler, the Creator’s Flower Boy might sell 85,000-95,000 units, and Del Rey’s Lust for Life could move 85,000-90,000 units. Given room for changes, each album has a chance at the top spot.

If Tyler takes the No. 1 slot, it would be his first Billboard 200 chart-topper, besting his 2013 album Wolf, which peaked at No. 3. If Mill or Del Rey reach the top spot, it would be each artist’s second No. 1 after Meek’s Dreams Worth More Than Money and Lana’s Ultraviolence.

Elsewhere, Linkin Park is set to make a return to the Billboard 200 top 10 with One More Light (40,000) and Hybrid Theory (35,000). The chart boost comes after lead singer Chester Bennington’s tragic death by suicide last week.

The final Billboard 200 will be released on Sunday, July 30.
