Bobby Shmurda Freestyles for Meek Mill From Prison

Bobby Shmurda might be locked up, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t working. On Monday (Feb. 27), the “Hot Boy” freestyled for Meek Mill and Trav on a phone call from prison.

“Man, I’m good,” Shmurda said in a clip shared by Trav. “I’m getting big, man. I’m writing everyday. I got some shit, man.” And with that, he launched into a short acapella verse.

“Hating ass ni**as never go nowhere,” he rapped. “So they don’t ever wanna see you go nowhere.”

In October, Shmurda was officially sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to 4th-degree conspiracy to criminally possess a weapon and 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession. As part of his plea deal, the New York rapper was granted time served and was likely facing five years inside and five years of post-release supervision at the time of the sentencing.

However, earlier this month, the New York Daily News reported that Shmurda pled guilty to new charges, including one count of attempting to promote prison contraband. He reportedly admitted that he tried to smuggle a “sharp metal object” behind bars in 2015. Sentencing is set to take place next month.

Bobby isn’t just working on new raps in prison. Last year, he also revealed plans to release two movies, including a fiction-based film about his prison experience.
