New Music: The Game feat. Jeremih, Young Thug, & Sevyn Streeter - 'Oh I'

  /  10.26.2017

In honor of Throwback Thursday, The Game unleashes his ’90s-inspired single “Oh I” featuring Young Thug, Jeremih, and Sevyn Streeter.

Produced by Bongo the Drum Gahd, “Oh I” calls back to Foxy Brown’s BLACKstreet-assisted “Get Me Home” single from 1996’s Ill Nana. While Jeremih also pulls inspiration for the hook, Sevyn Streeter adds harmonies that are reminiscent of Soul for Real’s “Every Little Thing I Do” off 1995’s Candy Rain.

As for their verses, The Game focuses on a strained relationship with a lady friend. “You mad, texting in all caps,” he raps. “Like I just didn’t put my kids on your back.” Later, Thugger blends intoxication with romance: “I got drunk off your love and throwed up / Poured my heart inside your double cup.”

The song arrives shortly after the 37-year-old Game denied allegations that he impregnated a 15-year-old girl from the U.K.

It’s unclear where “Oh I” will land, but it could very well appear on West Side Story, the follow-up to last year’s 1992.
