Drake Blasts Country Club for 'Racial Profiling'

  /  04.17.2017

Drake’s Coachella weekend took a turn for the worse. After surprising fans during Future’s set, the 6 God encountered a reported case of racial profiling at a nearby country club.

Drizzy took to Instagram to blast The Madison Club for their less than hospitable ways. “The most offensive place I have ever stayed at in my life with staff who pick and choose who they are going to accommodate based on racial profiling #Coachella,” he wrote.

This didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who began criticizing the establishment by leaving negative reviews online. The club responded to the post, adding an apology about the alleged incident, according to TMZ.

“We are trying to get this issue fixed as soon as possible. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority and for you to experience such a thing is embarrassing for us,” they wrote. “We are very sorry for the inconvenience and we will be issuing out a formal apology to you and the public. We will also be investigating this as we do not tolerate racial discrimination.”

The Madison Club is billed as an “exclusive private residential community” in La Quinta, Calif., just a few minutes away from the Empire Polo Club, where Coachella is held. It offers “the finest golf and club facilities in an intimate and sophisticated setting,” according to its website.

“Offering a limited number of homes and memberships, The Madison Club is the modern interpretation of California’s classic old-line country clubs,” the description adds.

Prior to the incident, Drake made a surprise appearance during Future’s Coachella set on Saturday (Apr. 15), where he performed “Fake Love,” “Gyalchester,” and his Hendrix duet, “Jumpman.”
