Rick Ross Squashes Beef with Drake

  /  05.02.2017

Peace prevails, according to Renzel.

Despite past disagreements, Rick Ross says he’s squashed his beef with Drake. Speaking to “Best Seat in the House,” the Maybach Music Group MC explains how they settled their issues.

“We actually sat down,” he said. “Shoutout to J. Prince. We wasn’t even discussing anything negative. By the time we get in the room, it’s so much other things going on, that it’s already, ‘Let’s get on some money.’ But I had to make sure we sat down to have some sort of understanding. Most definitely. It’s all about trying to touch nine figures. Anything going the other direction, you may get eaten.”

The Ross/Drake feud appeared to begin when Rozay’s MMG spitter Meek Mill was at war with Drizzy. Although some thought Renzel sent subliminals at the 6 God, he claims he tried to stay out of the beef.

“When Meek and Drake did begin to have slight differences, I’m pretty sure if Drake was with anybody else’s camp other than Cash Money, I may have been more vocal about it, but I seen it was the two little homies,” he said. “I seen what it was — and it was smooth. I ain’t trippin’.”

In October of 2015, as fans claimed the 6 God defeated Meek in their battle, Rozay disagreed. “Ain’t nobody get bodied,” he said. “If you think that was bodied, you buggin’. That’s light work. We got more money we finna go get.”

Then, in August of last year, Ross said he was still riding with Meek in the Drizzy feud. “If you assuming that I respect whoever your big homies is, you wrong,” he appeared to tell Drake. “For my dog, it’s whatever if it’s gonna be whatever. If it’s gotta go there, Renzel gon’ jump off the porch on your ass.”

Prior to this, Drake and Ross were frequent collaborators, working together on tracks like “I’m On One,” “Pop That,” “Fed Up,” “Aston Martin Music,” “No New Friends,” “Deuces (Remix),” “Lord Knows,” and “Stay Schemin,” just to name a few.
