Meek Mill's Arresting Officer Investigated for Corruption

There are new developments in Meek Mill’s ongoing case, as one of his arresting officers, Reginald Graham, has been investigated for corruption.

Graham is one of 29 current and former police officers who were placed on the District Attorney’s “do not call list,” according to TMZ. The report claims he was “investigated by federal authorities for several alleged acts of corruption.”

The list is meant to deter prosecutors from calling on problematic officers to testify in court. Therefore, it has also been called the “do not testify” list.

Meek Mill’s lawyer Joe Tacopina said that the development “supports everything in the motions filed by Mill and others wrongfully arrested by Officer Graham for post-conviction relief.”

Graham was an arresting officer in Meek’s 2007 arrest for gun and drug charges. That resulted in a decade of probation, subsequently landing him in prison for various violations in the years since.

Controversy has surrounded the case, resulting in several “Free Meek Mill” chants and cries, both from fans and prominent figures like JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Colin Kaepernick, and Rev. Al Sharpton.

Last year, Mill’s legal team accused Judge Genece Brinkley of pushing Meek to leave Roc Nation in favor of her alleged friend Charles “Charlie Mack” Alston, who previously worked with Mill. Transcripts would later prove that it was his probation officer who made the request, not Judge Brinkley.

In January, it was learned that a court clerk asked Meek for money during the trial. The clerk said she was looking for a donation towards her son’s education. Mill did not make the donation and the clerk was fired for the transgression.

Mill is now serving 2-4 years in prison over probation violation.
