New Music: Belly feat. YG - '4 Days'
Coming off last year’s Mumble Rap, Belly joins forces with YG for his latest single, “4 Days.”
Over DJ Mustard’s signature West Coast bounce, reBELLYus raps about a girl he used to desire. “Thinking you a bad bitch,” he rhymes. “Really, you just doing bad, bitch / Fronted on me when I ain’t had shit / Until I came up like a savage.”
An animated YG follows Belly’s savagery with some bars by bashing a girl who also “fronted” on him. “I tell her she can fuck up my life,” he raps. “Just don’t fuck up my cash flow … You did me wrong when I ain’t had shit / God don’t like ugly, you a bad bitch.”
Belly is now hard at work on his Mumble Rap follow-up. He recently hit the lab with JAY-Z, who praised him on the Rap Radar podcast last year. “When Belly did his freestyle on the L.A. Leakers, people got to see how talented he is,” said Hov. “He’s super talented.”
