Big Boi Drops Two New Singles

  /  01.31.2019

Big Boi is back. Ahead of his performance at the Super Bowl this weekend, the OutKast OG serves up two new singles—”Doin’ It” and “Return of the Dope Boi.”

First up is “Doin’ It” featuring Sleepy Brown. The piano-driven track, which was released via L.A. Reid’s Hitco label, features a soulful hook from longtime collaborator Sleepy Brown and some syrupy rhymes from Big Boi.

On the trap banger “Return of the Dope Boi,” Antwan Patton links with Backbone and his Dungeon Family member Killer Mike. In between flexing about Louis Vuitton luggage and Dom Perignon, Big Boi makes one thing clear: “I ain’t steppin’ out unless the ice is right.”

The two tracks mark Big Boi’s first new music since 2017’s Boomiverse. On Sunday, he will join Maroon 5 and Travis Scott at the Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in his hometown of Atlanta.
