Shooting Erupts Outside Yo Gotti Concert, One Person Dead

  /  05.12.2018

A shooting outside Yo Gotti’s concert in Kansas City, Miss. ended in tragedy on Friday (May 11) with one person dead.

The Memphis rapper was apparently performing at the Uptown Theater around the time of the shooting, which took place at a nearby parking lot, according to TMZ.

Witnesses say that a fight broke out before the gunfire. Paramedics and law enforcement officials rushed to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead upon their arrival.

Former NFL player Dwayne Bowe, who is now a rapper, also performed at the event. “The stupid shit gotta stop,” he said on Instagram Stories. “Two people got killed, man.” Despite his claim, TMZ only reported one death from this incident.

It’s unclear whether the people involved in the fight or shooting attended the show, but the report claims a connection is probable due to the time and proximity.
