Zayn Covers Beyoncé's 'Me, Myself and I'

Zayn is putting his spin on a ‘Yonce classic.

The former One Direction member gears up for his new album by covering Beyoncé’s hit off her 2003 solo debut Dangerously in Love. Over the mid-tempo melody (originally produced by Scott Storch), the pop heartthrob adds his own sultry vocals and ad-libs, while remaining true to the original.

The cover earned praise from his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, who tweeted, “I meeeaaannnnn,” along with heart eye emojis and exclamation points.

Zayn posted the song as a teaser for his upcoming album. “Album is on the way, he tweeted. “Got a few surprises for you too .. here’s a taster.”

He is now readying his sophomore album, the follow-up to 2016’s Mind of Mine, which has already spawned singles including “Let Me” and “Entertainer.”

“I’m trying to keep it as mysterious as possible but there’s a plan with the roll out,” Zayn told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe in April. “It’s going to be different to I think anything anyone has done before.”
