Iggy Azalea Confirms That She Has a Son

  /  06.10.2020

Iggy Azalea is a mom.

After months of rumors, the “Fancy” rapper has confirmed that she gave birth to a baby boy. Taking to Instagram Stories on Wednesday morning, Iggy opened up about becoming a mother. “I have a son,” she began before revealing why she waited to announce the news.

“I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more times passes the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world,” added Iggy, who celebrated her 30th birthday on Sunday.

Without disclosing the baby’s name, she shared her happiness while asking for privacy. “I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret & I love him beyond words,” Iggy gushed.

While she didn’t mention him in her post, the father is Playboi Carti. The baby was reportedly born in late April, but the couple did not go public with the news until now. Last month, TMZ reported that Carti purchased a $400,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan to transport his son.

Iggy and Carti, 23, met in the summer of 2018 and live together in the Atlanta suburb of Buckhead. They have kept their relationship off social media and rarely appear in photos together. In July, they sparked engagement rumors when Iggy was seen wearing a $35,000 diamond ring.

During her pregnancy, Iggy was absent from Instagram. She returned last month after taking a five-month hiatus from the social media platform.
