2 Chainz Delays 'So Help Me God' Album Release

  /  09.24.2020

Fans will have to wait a little longer for 2 Chainz’ new album So Help Me God.

The Atlanta rapper won’t be dropping the project on Friday as originally announced. Taking to Instagram, he explained that he’s not quite done with the album, which is awaiting sample clearance and a skit.

“I ain’t dropping my album this week either,” he told fans. “I ain’t finished with it yet. Waiting on two samples to get back, information on two samples…and I’m waiting on a skit, believe it or not.”

But the wait shouldn’t be too much longer. “It should be another couple weeks though,” he added.

Earlier this month, 2 Chainz released a video for the album’s lead single “Money Maker” featuring Lil Wayne.

So Help Me God is the follow-up to 2019’s Rap or Go to the League, which featured appearances from Ariana Grande, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Wayne.

2 Chainz will face off against Big Boi and his family on tonight’s premiere of “Celebrity Family Feud,” which airs at 8 p.m. on ABC.
