After dismal first-week sales of his latest album New Jack City II (31,000 copies), Bow Wow is calling it quits. In a video posted on RealTalkNY, he announced his retirement from rap.
“This my last album because for me, there’s no more that needs to be done on the music side,” said the 22-year-old rapper, who’s released seven albums throughout his career. “There’s nothing more that I want to accomplish that I haven’t seen yet.”
The artist, born Shad Moss, will venture into other areas. “It’s time for me to move on and become Bow Wow the actor, Bow Wow the businessman.”
Ugh, waaaad a sucka. Skater clothing line? Like that hasn’t been done already? “See how I dress”…Yes I do and it’s not something I think is Fresh, innovative & unique. Nothing I haven’t seen already. Doe boys on the block dress Flyyer…And Actor? I guess, we’ll see. He’s good to look at for SURE. But, he needs more swagg. And he’s really just embarrassed about his CD being wiggidy WACK, we all know it, no need to front as if you didn’t think it was gonna be some HOT SHIT. His publicist shoulda said PAUSE & gave him a script(practice on that acting), cause he FAILED and he sounds too unsure of himself(noting on how his tone & demeanor changed while mentioning a certain topic), and when have you ever heard anyone call him Mr. Lamborghini Moss? Rap-Up didn’t even use it, BECAUSE, no one knows who the feezy that is.
How do u expect to sell with a rap album with only 11 tracks cmon now a rap album atleast needs to have 15-18 tracks. That album was put together wayyyy too fast u can tell and the songs arent even great. Theres only like 2 songs that are decent on that whole album!
well no one is feeling this new image that has. to me its gotten to the point where it seems like hes either tryin to be like some of these people (t.i., lil wayne, jay-z) or he trying to get those same ppl to accept him. its like neither of those options have been working out for him, and the music definitely isnt there.
I mean which rapper hasn’t had a flop throughout their career? If he quitting this easily maybe he should really just forget about it period. Too many waaaaay more talented people out there fighting for a chance to get a deal man.
everyone liked him no matter how he sounded when he was a kid. now he’s grown and just another man in the game. I guess he’s too scared of the competition. I only liked one song on his album, Been Doin This.

Haha, Giselle you took the words out of my mouth!
