Robin Thicke gets hot and steamy with “Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester in the video for “Somebody to Love,” the first single from her debut album.

“I wrote the song and she loved it, and [her label Universal Republic] requested to cut the record,” songwriter Rico Love tells Rap-Up.com. “I actually never even met her yet, which is really weird for me because I produce the vocals for every artist I record with.”

i love the song and the whole swagger of it, but i think they spent too much time styling her and not enough on the treatment of the video. it was just a bunch of random glamour/club shots. this song could have had an interesting video.
