Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Plays Housewife in VMA Promo Photos

Nicki ~~Minaj~~ Homemaker, who received her first VMA nomination for Best New Artist, dreams up her newest role as a pampered ’50s housewife in these behind-the-scenes photos from her 2010 MTV Video Music Awards promo shoot. In the clip, an orange-haired Nicki envisions an imaginary photo shoot while riding a purple motorcycle to the September 12 awards show.

“I don’t even have my album out and I’m part of the freakin’ promo!” she tells Entertainment Weekly. “Basically, they’re documenting my rise and paralleling that with my journey, literally, to the VMAs.”

Drake, Justin Bieber, and Ke$ha also star in this year’s VMA promos, airing at the end of this month. Check out 12 photos from the set below.

why is it that whenever Nicki does something its never enough. She has a #1 hit, but its the #1 on the hot 100 so it doesn’t count. She won 3 BET awards and performed with no album but apparently the BET awards don’t count either. Everything she does haters try to examine and find something to hate on but if she wasn’t winning nobody would be talking about other female rappers, BET wouldn’t have put together that “females in hip hop” show and new female rappers wouldn’t have the voice they have now. Even though Nicki is killing the game right now and is doing great being as she is the only female rapper thats poppin right now. but she still has a long way to go and to prove herself first to be considered in the same league as some of her male contemporaries….To do this she has to release her debut album and it has to be great thats how everyone will respect her.

Get it Nicki, but I need to hear an album before I can say she’s really killing the game. I do give her props for crossing over into mainstream so quickly in her career with Mariah, Usher, Christina, Robin, etc. Trina has been trying for years, yet Nicki did it in a matter of months.

I dont see as much hate in this post and the other Nicki posts I guess Nicki’s getting so much PUBLICITY they cant keep up on where they can write there next comment. But it really is kinda sad Nicki’s only been in the game for a couple months, and has not even released a albumn and has more fans (based on Twitter follwers) than Female rappers like Foxy Brown, MC Lyte, Missy Elliot, Eve, Trina, and Rasheeda.
