Jazmine Sullivan takes it back to the ’80s in the Marcus Raboy-directed video for “Holding You Down (Goin’ in Circles),” the first single from her sophomore album Love Me Back, due this fall. The R&B powerhouse throws a hip-hop house party with some familiar faces including Doug E. Fresh, Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa, Pete Rock, Kwame, and the track’s producer Missy Elliott.
Good video for a good song. I like how they incoporated 80′s elements in the video cause the song definitely has a throwback feel. Jazmine is beautiful and has an amazing voice. Can’t wait to buy the new album.
I love the old skool theme, and Aye they even did the soul train line Love It…. the male she’s going in circles about is cute, i would probably be going in circles for him aswell lol not really but he is cute =D
Yeah the video is lacking, maybe Jaz needs better direction or acting lesson cuz she seems awkward or emotionless. But boy does she sing her heart out, and show off her emotions vocally! Heart the song! And it kinda make me wanna play it back-to back with Amerie’s Why R U from last summer!!!
